WYW Technologies Pty Ltd ("WYW", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through the WYW waitlist at wyw.app, how we use it, and your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
By submitting your details through our waitlist form, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

02 What Information We Collect
When you join the WYW waitlist, we collect the following personal information:

We do not collect payment information, government identifiers, or sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) through the waitlist.
03 How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information solely for the following purposes:
- To send you a confirmation email with your unique WYW reference code
- To notify you when WYW launches in your city or region
- To send you relevant pre-launch updates, early access offers, and product news (you can opt out at any time)
- To understand demand across different cities and user types to inform our launch strategy
- To prevent spam and abuse of our waitlist system
We will not use your information for any purpose that is incompatible with these purposes without your consent.
04 How We Store Your Information
Your waitlist data is stored in a secure database hosted within Australia. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.
These measures include:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
- Access controls limiting who can view waitlist data
- Rate limiting to prevent automated abuse
- Regular security reviews
We retain your waitlist data until WYW launches and you create an account, or until you request deletion — whichever comes first. If WYW does not launch within 3 years of your signup, we will delete your data.
05 Disclosure of Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We may share your email address with trusted email delivery services (such as transactional email providers) solely to send you the confirmation and launch notification emails described above. These providers are contractually bound to keep your data confidential and may not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority.
- Business transfers: If WYW is acquired or merges with another entity, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
We do not disclose your information to overseas recipients unless we have taken reasonable steps to ensure they handle it in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles.
06 Your Rights
Under the Australian Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct any personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, or incomplete
- Request deletion of your personal information from our waitlist at any time
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time by clicking "unsubscribe" in any email we send, or by contacting us directly
- Complain to us about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au/privacy/privacy-complaints.
07 Cookies and Tracking
The WYW waitlist page does not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. We do not track you across other websites.
The only data stored in your browser is a session indicator used to prevent duplicate form submissions. This is not used for tracking or advertising purposes.
08 Children's Privacy
The WYW waitlist is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at privacy@wyw.app and we will delete it promptly.
09 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If you have joined the waitlist, we will notify you by email of any significant changes.
Your continued use of our waitlist after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
